It began as a simple branding exercise for my wife's blossoming doula practice, she wanted a cool logo to put on her business cards, she wanted something bird-like. I worked on the logo and then designed some nice cards for her. A month or two later we started talking about her Wordpress website and before I knew it I was designing a brand new theme for her to go along with the other creative assets I designed.
This project was a lot of fun for me, I always enjoy dabbling in the Wordpress environment. Making code changes is so simple and familiar. The theme design I came up with was built on a few simple design elements, warm neutral color tones and some thoughtful typography form the backbone of the design. Everything else basically fell into place. The end product took less than two nights to code, one of the fastest themes I've coded to date!
Couldn't have asked for a better client, my wife is very appreciative with the designs I come up with for her and you can't argue with that.
