Impact Corps wanted a small manageable website with a simple template system that could be maintained with very little programming knowledge. With that in mind, it was a no-brainer to begin with a simple Wordpress install as the CMS, and building on that, we developed the theme from the wonderful Thematic framework. Thematic made it possible to get a lot of the most basic Wordpress functionality like comments and basic layout structure so that we could concentrate most of our energy purely towards look and feel.
